BREATHWORK – The SOMA Approach

Our breathwork sessions utilize SOMA Breathwork, a transformative technique that combines rhythmic breathing, breath holds, and visualization. Unlike traditional methods, SOMA Breathwork is crafted to induce a meditative flow state, enhancing mental clarity, focus, and resilience. This approach optimizes oxygen flow, naturally reduces anxiety, improves sleep, and boosts overall vitality. Each session goes beyond simple relaxation, cultivating a deep sense of well-being that extends long after the practice.

Under the guidance of breathwork coach Audrey Pernin, each SOMA Breathwork session is structured to provide mental clarity, calm, and renewed energy. Audrey’s sessions create a unique blend of breath and intention, fostering a profound sense of balance and inner wellness.

The SOMA Breathwork Process: A Path to Deep Transformation

Rhythmic Breathing

Each session begins with rhythmic breathing, often in a 2:4 pattern (inhaling for two counts, exhaling for four). This rhythm calms the nervous system, enhances oxygen circulation, and prepares the body for deeper work.

Breath Holds (Kumbhaka)

We incorporate controlled breath holds to increase CO2 levels, dilating blood vessels and enhancing oxygen delivery. This stimulates the vagus nerve, promoting calm, resilience, and emotional release

Visualization and Intention Setting

During breath holds, participants are guided to visualize specific intentions, deepening the practice’s impact and fostering mental clarity and inner transformation.

Peak Experience

Repeating the rhythmic breathing and breath hold cycle brings participants to a peak experience, marked by a release of mental and emotional blockages and a profound sense of calm.

Return to Restful Breathing

Each session concludes with restful breathing to integrate the experience, solidifying mental clarity, physical relaxation, and emotional uplift.
